The proposed two-story building will feature shops on the bottom level and condominiums on the top level.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beverly-hanks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/historic-biltmore-village3.jpg\" alt=\"New Construction to Bring Additional Shopping to Biltmore Village\"><br \/>\nLocated at 19 Brook Street, the site is across the street from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.figbistro.com\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fig Bistro<\/a> and currently houses a <a href=\"http:\/\/catawbabrewing.com\/locations\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Catawba Brewing Company<\/a> tasting room. The location is adjacent to a number of high-end retail shops, including Lilly Pulitzer, Brooks Brothers, Boheme, Talbot\u2019s, and Williams-Sonoma. According to Woodmont, the property offers a unique opportunity to add new developed space to the historic district.<br \/>\n\u201c19 Brook Street in the Historic Biltmore Village is a rare opportunity for iconic retailers,\u201d said Senior Vice President John Geddis. \u201cIt is the last developable lot in all of Biltmore Village.\u201d<br \/>\nThe architectural drawing of the projected building shows a European style similar to surrounding historic buildings. No specific timeline has been announced for the new building. The development comes on the heels of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citizen-times.com\/story\/news\/local\/2017\/03\/15\/asheville-hotel-boom-echoes-south\/98950484\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mini hotel boom in Biltmore Village<\/a>. A 118-room Hampton Inn &amp; Suites Asheville-Biltmore Village <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citizen-times.com\/story\/news\/local\/2017\/06\/12\/vanderbilt-heir-opens-9-2-m-hotel-biltmore-village\/390492001\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened earlier this month<\/a> nearby on Hendersonville Road.<br \/>\nThe Woodmont Company was also chosen by the Biltmore Property Group to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpexecutive.com\/post\/woodmont-to-lease-tennessee-and-north-carolina-properties\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exclusive leasing representative<\/a> for Biltmore Village. \u201cEach of these properties offers a unique opportunity to be located within a one-of-a-kind retail destination,\u201d said Geddis. \u201cHistoric Biltmore Village is a popular tourist destination with 120 years of history and architecture.\u201d<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11919\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beverly-hanks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/biltmore-village-development.jpg\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe Historic Biltmore Village district is located south of downtown Asheville and adjacent to the main entrance of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biltmore.com\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biltmore Estate<\/a>. Created as a \u201ccompany town\u201d for the estate workers in the late nineteenth century, the community was designed to reflect the qualities of an English country village. Biltmore Village is now entirely incorporated into the city of Asheville, and contains an eclectic collection of galleries, restaurants, and both local and national retail shops.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>What do you think of the new development?
