Weaverville, NC has had a mini growth spurt in recent years. Away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, the town of 3,200 is attracting newcomers to live and work. This growth equates to great opportunities for residents without losing its small-town, friendly atmosphere.

\nWeaverville<\/a> offers many events and amenities within minutes of the town\u2019s easily walkable center. In addition to a county library branch and Buncombe County schools (elementary, middle, and high school), there are wide-ranging shopping, entertainment, and dining options.
\n\u201cMain Street has this very small-town feel,\u201d said Laura Bogard, general manager of Well-Bred Bakery & Cafe<\/a>. And yet, the cozy atmosphere does not hamper locals in the slightest. \u201cThere\u2019s tons of great restaurants and cafes and bakeries, little small-town florists, cool art galleries\u2014Mangum Pottery<\/a> is here on Main Street,\u201d said Laura.
\nIn fact, Weaverville\u2019s economic base is built upon the area\u2019s historical focus on crafts, agriculture, and environment. From Echoview Farm and Fiber Mill<\/a> to Navitat Canopy Adventures<\/a>, local companies make use of the abundant resources within their slice of the Western North Carolina mountains.
\nWeaverville also draws inspiration from the next-door craft brewing giant, Asheville. The town is currently home to two local breweries: Blue Mountain Pizza and Brewpub<\/a> and Zebulon Artisan Ales<\/a>.
\n\u201cThis area\u2019s [also] attracting new people all the time, and so it\u2019s really sort of becoming a little melting pot of lots of great, wonderful people of all walks of life\u2014artists, professionals, families\u2014it\u2019s really kind of everyone,\u201d says Laura.
\nAccessibility is another top feature of Weaverville. The few things residents can\u2019t find in town can be found within a short drive.
\n\u201cWeaverville is just about 10 minutes north of Asheville, so [it\u2019s] very, very close to that city kind of feel,\u201d said Laura. \u201c[It\u2019s] two hours to the big city of Charlotte. And then, if you\u2019re heading north, Madison County is right there, Hot Springs [Resort &] Spa<\/a>\u2014all these beautiful mountain oases with lots of really, really rural areas and beautiful countryside and farms.
\n\u201cSo it definitely is a little slice of paradise in the mountains, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n
